This listing is for 5 AAA Oregon Sunstone Faceted Nugget Beads -- one of the exact 5 bead sets that you see in the photos. This is the most exquisite Sunstone we have ever seen; it is truly sublime. Most of us are familiar with the more common variety of sunstone which is more opaque and deeper rust orange colored with glittery sparks, but this is exceptional stuff here. In Oregon Sunstone the color is more delicate and transparent and though there are still some subtle glitter effects (caused by reflections from hematite or geothite platelets) stones have more of an iridescent coppery sheen or "schiller" in common with other members of the feldspar family (labradorite and moonstone). It is difficult to portray the beauty and intense schiller of these stones in photos. Oregon Sunstone is often pleochroic meaning the colors and especially the schiller can change when viewed from different planes. Note that we took photos at different angles and in different lighting to try to capture the coppery flash and gorgeous spectrum of colors ranging from pale gold to apricot. There is some variation, but the average size range is about 6-13mm wide by 11-15mm long. The beads in your mini strand may differ in these exact measurements, but should be close. The average weight of these 5 bead lots is 29.75 carats (yours may differ by +/- 0.25 carats).
